ANYWAYS I'm posting this just to tell yall that I'm going away, FOR A MONTH. Which is an inordinate amount of time. I will be in Canada with some of my favourite people for two weeks, and then California with some of my other favourite people for another two weeks.
I shall return to the shores of bonny old England on the 3rd of September, which right now feels sooooo far away! I'm sure it will seem like no time at all...

I might even post here during my time away but just in case you were thinking to yourself "Where on earth has that wonderful Alan character got to? He was pretty great wasn't he?", well, now you know.

There's a thing called stumble. It's an add on for FireFox. It gives you a button on your browser that when clicked gives you a random web page that it thinks you might like.

Just now it brought me to this page. I clicked the sad face and it played me a song called "Work Out Fine" by an artist called "Brad Sucks"

And now I am happy.

George Carlin

George Carlin died on Sunday.
My friend Phil an I loved that guy. Quotes from his acts come up in our conversations almost every time we speak.

I hope he had a good life and was proud of what he'd done. Apparently he was on tour in Las Vegas when he died. At 71 he was still on tour.

I know everyone is talking about George Carlin but i just wanted to pay homage to someone I'd only relatively recently become a fan of.
